It needs good lighting to develop properly. Like all the Drosera, it grows well in the shade as long as it has good lighting, although it is advisable to get some hours of direct sunlight. It acquires a slight reddish tone when being in contact with sunlight. It is important to avoid the midday summer only in the months of July-August, as it is likely to burn the plant if it is not well acclimatized.
Watering: It is important for the plant to grow in a moist substrate preventing dryness for which the pot is placed on top of a tray or container with about 2 inches of water, with a break of 1-2 days a week approx. During winter please decrease the watering (once a week).
Temperatures: Keep the plant outside all the year ; it can also be placed inside as an indoor plant, as long as it receives good lighting. In case of being outside during the winter, it is recommended to shield it from frost. It is very easy to grow, therefore it is highly recommended for beginners. It is easily reproduced by seed or leaf cuttings.
