Lighting: Keep it in the shade during summer or semi-shade and avoid overwatering.
Watering: Water it from the top, not only when the substrate is drying. It is very sensitive to water logging. If the plant is kept in the shade the pots remain green, but it takes a bluish-red colour if it receives direct sunlight (it can be given sun in winter).
Temperature and humidity: Put the plant outside all year round, it supports high and low temperatures. The humidity level is not the most important, but if it is above 40-50% it grows better. Use a substrate based on peat and perlite / vermiculite, or quartz sand at the same rate It grows best in slightly compacted substrates as well as other species of carnivorous plants. A good ratio is 60% peat and 40% of drainage material such as perlite, vermiculite, or quartz sand. It is an outdoor plant and tolerates light frost.
It also develops very well in a terrarium.
